"Hello from Cornwall!
Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to look around. I am a portrait artist, based in Camborne, Cornwall, UK. I work from my studio, at home, while managing a household of three children, two rabbits, one cat, a dog and my husband! I love my hectic life and my painting and drawing is a wonderful balance to the chaos.
I was offered my first commission at the age of about twelve. I was stunned that someone would actually pay me to do a drawing. To this day I am still amazed that people happily pay for the artwork that I love to do. I grew up in London, where I studied art at Middlesex University and then went on the Bath for a degree in Illustration. When my husband and I fell pregnant we moved to his home town of Camborne, to raise our family surrounded by beaches and bluebell woods.
I am constantly trying to improve my skills, both in art and other areas. In recent years I have studied anatomy, website design, HTML coding and have just enrolled on a new art diploma to learn new media techniques.
Several students have approached me to help with advice on coursework and future art careers. I find this very rewarding and am happy to help anyone who asks.
